 This spectacular Disneyland Pirates of the Caribbean Battle Scene has been personally autogaphed by WED Imagineering Legend Xavier 'X' AtencioWalt Disney asked Atencio to write the dialogue and lyrics for the Pirates of the Caribbean.  His first song “Yo Ho a Pirates Life for Me” is one of the most memorable and loved songs at Disneyland.  Teaming up with musical director Buddy Baker, his next song “Grim, Grinning Ghosts” for the Haunted Mansion had equal success.  Print was signed by 'X'  Atencio during a special guest appearance at the Disneyana Fun Fair’s June 10, 2007 special event celebrating the 40th anniversary of Walt Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disneyland.  Xavier ( or " X" as his friends call him, began his career in 1938 as an inbetweener on Pinocchio and as an Assistant Animator on Fantasia. Later he became an Animator on short subjects including the academy award winning “TOOT, WHISTLE, PLUNK and BOOM”.  Retiring in 1984, X was appropriately named a Disney Legend in 1996.  Print bears copyright marks from WED Enterprises and Walt Disney Productions.  Measures 11" x 17".  Includes the Phil Sears Collectibles Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity. Here are 6 of the original (not reprinted) 1967 Pirates of the Caribbean postcards.  When Pirates of the Caribbean opened 33 years ago, these were sold in a vending machine inside the Pirate Arcade (no longer there) in New Orleans Square.  Based on character drawings by legendary Marc Davis, these six cards are in brand new condition after 33 years!  All are pictured in Gordon and Mumford's excellent book, DISNEYLAND - THE NICKEL TOUR.  Not the reproductions, but the original postcards from the 1960s. This very special item CD includes 8 VR scenes from Pirates of the Caribbean (Disneyland CA), a new cave to explore off the beach with secret treasure, and a short movie segment from the ride! Only 1700 of these were produced for the Pirates of the Caribbean special event in May of 2000. To play this CD you’ll need a Pentium 166 or more, 32 MB RAM, and an 8x CD-ROM. Disneyland PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN VR CD-ROM, 2000. This CD-ROM for PC or Macintosh computer was issued at the Disneyland Pirates of the Caribbean Merchandise Event on May 20, 2000. It is unused and in its original sleeve and shrinkwrap. On the back is printed "For Promotional Use Only - Not For Sale" and "1700 Count;" the latter may indicate the quantity produced. 5" x 5". MINT condition. This item is from the estate of Walt Disney Imagineer Bruce Gordon who joined WED Enterprises in 1980 and for 25 years contributed to the design and construction of numerous Disneyland and Walt Disney World attractions. He was largely responsible for the development of Splash Mountain and the conversion of Disneyland's Submarine Voyage lagoon into today's Finding Nemo attraction. At the time of his passing on 6 November 2007 he was working as show producer for the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco. Includes a letter of authenticity on Bruce Gordon stationery.  Item #9022, $165

This delightful ceramic pirate actually has a sweeter side! Lift the top of his head and there's room for sugar and a spoon.  The winter 2004-2005 Disney magazine features a full page story on these great Pirates of the Caribbean collectibles (page 70).  Disneyland New Orleans Square markings on the bottom. Measures approximately 4 inches tall and 5 inches wide. Only this one available.  Item # 2336, $110

This is the 22.5" long, large, VERY LIMITED EDITION (only 500) plaque from the July 9th Disneyland special event!  (The little ones seen on other websites are not limited, and are not from the special event).  Press the button in the skeleton pirate's hat, and you'll hear those famous "last" words, "Mark well me words, matey...
